LOS ANGELES -19 August 2021

Today, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) announced that the ICANN72 Virtual Annual General Meeting, initially scheduled<https://www.icann.org/en/announcements/details/icann72-to-be-virtual-annual-general-meeting-icann73-planning-update-15-7-2021-en> to begin on 23 October 2021, will now be held from 25 to 28 October 2021. ICANN72 Prep Week is scheduled for 12-14 October. Registration for ICANN72 is open and you must register<https://events.icann.org/icann72/registration> to participate.

The ICANN72 schedule will be published on 4 October 2021 and registration is required to view the schedule. Those interested in attending the virtual meeting are encouraged to visit the event website<https://72.schedule.icann.org/> to learn more about the meeting time zone, Prep Week, and participation tools<https://72.schedule.icann.org/participation-tools>.

The decision to modify ICANN72 to a four-day meeting was made following consultation with ICANN community leadership to support better working hours for attendees and encourage greater participation.
