This package is a snap-shot at the close of each month and developed by the leadership team to report on the team’s activities and status of the project. Key point:

  *   At the time the Charter was developed for the IDN EPDP it was assumed that the SubPro recommendations, particularly those relating to IDNs under Topic 25, would have been approved by the ICANN Board. The IDN EPDP is conducting its work with the expectation that the SubPro recommendations will be approved by the Board at some future date. However, it has been necessary for the EPDP Team to make assumptions about the implementation of those recommendations in order to address our Charter questions. While the assumptions are believed to be sound, the EPDP Team wanted to make the Council aware of the possible ripple effect or potential risk to its work in the event that the Board does not adopt the related SubPro recommendations. The EPDP Team is not seeking Council action at this time. It is just making the Council aware of a potential risk that the EPDP Leadership Team has identified.
