All,

Although there is no GAC Advice or even Follow-up to GAC Advice, I wanted to ask whether there was anyone that wanted us to send a response to this communique, specifically to address some of the topic in the “Issues of Importance to the GAC.”  If you recall, there was some discussion during the GNSO/GAC as well as the GNSO/Board meeting to discuss improving communication methods with both the Board and the GAC.  During the Bard/GAC meeting (I believe…though I may be mistaken as to the specific meeting), there was some additional discussion of the GAC addressing certain topics to the GNSO as well as the Board.

Please read the Communique and let me know if the Council want to address any of the topics including the Global Public Interest (which talks about the SSAD ODA), its comments on Subsequent Rounds, Accuracy of Registration Data, ePDP Phase 1, DNS Abuse Mitigation and/or Universal Acceptance.  I understand that historically the Council has chosen to only address formal GAC Advice (or Follow up Advice), but that does not mean that we cannot try something different this time.

But I leave that all in your capable hands, but offer my assistance to support you in whatever you choose to do.
