Hi Paul,

Thanks for the question. The short answer is that the small team’s suggestions regarding Issues of Importance will follow soon. There is a different document for that work. The Board-GAC meeting only focuses on the Advice items, so that is where there is time pressure to make the Tuesday deadline. There is more time to weigh in on Issues of Importance. I hope this helps.

Kind regards,
Emily

Thanks Emily. Just to confirm, the Council will only be responding to Advice and not the various other issues of concern? That seems to be what the document to which you provided a link does, but I just wanted to be sure.

Best,
Paul

Dear Councilors,

As you are aware, a small team of Councilors has been working on a draft of the GNSO Review of GAC Communique Advice, to be delivered to the Board prior to the Board-GAC meeting to discuss any clarifying questions about the Advice items.

The Board-GAC meeting has just been scheduled and will take place on Tuesday, 11 April, meaning that the Review needs to be completed and delivered much more quickly than anticipated. Given the exceptional circumstances, and acknowledging the holiday weekend for many, we are hoping that everyone can be flexible in getting this document over the finish line.

A draft of the Review has been completed by small team members, but the small team as a whole has had limited opportunity to consider the latest version. With that in mind, small team members may be providing input along with other Councilors.

Please find the draft here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1829lKsBSn_O0ecSeI4FFLBhLymLAKIs9gx81P_6n3yw/edit?usp=sharing [docs.google.com]<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/docs.google.com/document/d/1829lKsBSn_O0ecSeI4FFLBhLymLAKIs9gx81P_6n3yw/edit?usp=sharing__;!!PtGJab4!4kGMhasBXO-Nt5g9aFR53sCOhquKVsoem5lZcOHjyn47cb_2DM0XfyMbcVuA9NuHJGiLmMhtu3MlrSS8q5b0lsgztW8$>. Councilors are requested to provide any input as soon as possible, but no later than Monday 10 April at 12:00 UTC.

The document will be finalized and shared with the Board on Monday, along with a note that the document is expected to be adopted by Council during the April Council meeting.

Thanks, all, for your understanding.

Kind regards,
Emily
