<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt">Under agenda item 7 of the 14 April 2022 GNSO Council meeting, it was agreed that we would seek additional volunteers to participate in the Council small team focused on closed generics. You will
recall that this group currently has a relatively small number of team members (three Councilors, the GNSO liaison to the GAC, and the ALAC liaison to the GNSO).<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt">Now that Council has provided an initial
<a href="https://gnso.icann.org/sites/default/files/policy/2022/correspondence/fouquart-to-botterman-27apr22-closed-generics.pdf">
response</a> to the Board that it is willing to pursue next steps on a facilitated dialogue, the expanded small group will work to provide suggestions to Council about how the proposed facilitated dialogue could be carried out, namely the conditions, parameters,
and methodology for the dialogue, including potential desired attributes for a facilitator. These small team suggestions are intended to form the basis for initial discussions with the GAC to identify a mutually agreeable foundation for the facilitated dialogue.
