There is an action item from the last CPWG meeting (which I could not attend) saying:


Next CPWG - potentially on Tuesday, 30 April @ 21:00 UTC. EE/HU to confirm ICANN closure

So, I guess that either ICANN now celebrates May Day, OR, it is shutting up shop for good, and giving all responsibility to the ITU or some other inter-governmental body.
