In our response, can we at least say that a minimum requirement is for a way to contact that allows the sender to know their message was sent and received? (without specifying any particular methodology)

It seems that the majority of participants in the EPDP object to mandatory email addresses such as abuse at example.com <mailto:abuse at example.com> or tech at example.com <mailto:tech at example.com> because they support the ridiculous argument that someone's name could be "abuse" or "tech". When faced with such level of posturing that defies logic and when finding out that this is the view of the majority of the participants, one cannot help but thinking there are political forces at work to make domain names completely anonymous and therefore unaccountable.

In effect, it's a CRM system. Online businesses use that all the time. I can live with a CRM system that tracks cases even without knowing who owns the domain name.
