Indeed this is an important and extremely useful initiative. As the director of the DNS Entrepreneurship Center DNS-EC ( The center is founded by ICANN and NTRA to foster the domain name industry in the region, Middle East and Africa) I would be happy to be part of this initiative and add this to the center's regional activities. The center's activities include capacity building and skill development, capacity building in Egypt and the region is normally on our agenda and we could discuss how to tailor such events and workshops. Looking forward to discuss this further and maybe develop a relevant strategy in this regard.

Hi all,

One of the objectives of our engagement with the GAC has always been to get ALS  and  GAC reps to talk to each other locally, on the ground. It's easier in countries where barriers among stakeholders are low.

Perhaps we could  discuss at one of our future joint meetings on how to facilitate this kind of cooperation, including capacity building, on the ground, keeping in mind that its feasibility varies from country to country.
