Typosquatting is not exactly a major problem compared to other forms of
content targeted abuse. With typosquatting, there are some established
legal approaches for dealing with the problem such as UDRP.

A lot of the content targeted abuse depends on lifting content from
other websites, search engine results and blogs and it is difficult to
track. The aim is to create "evergreen" websites for PPC purposes with
content that appears to be continually updated. The evergreen content is
inteded to fool search engine algorithms. This is more webspam than
e-mail spam and the framework seems to be focused on e-mail spam.
Heavily discounted registrations tend to facilitate this form of
webspam. Left unchecked, it can fill a TLD with templated content and
drives out developed websites because the TLD gets a bad reputation.
