Good evening:  If I may comment in this context on one aspect of our own little local corner of this issue:

Google could be player in the DNS markets: portfolio investor. able to out-bid any contention set etc.

OR

Google could provide, under a specific contract, the communications infrastructure for ICANN's multistakeholder community e.g. Google Docs.

but NOT BOTH.
