[CPWG] For the CPWG meeting on Aug 31, 2022: Discussing the Change of Registrant polcy

Dear CPWG members,


We have added time for a discussion on the Change of Registrant policy. This is the Phase 1(b) in the Inter-Registrar Transfer Review PDP.

It will be of interest for the At-Large members in the TRP PDP working group to have the CPWG “feedback” to the CoR policy. We have created a “poll” that will be held if time permit this.

The “poll questions” are:


Question #1:

>From an end-user perspective, do you believe the present Change of Registrant Policy works as intended?

1.      Yes

2.      No

3.      Not sure

Question #2:

Are you in favor of keeping a transfer lock period after a change of registrant data?

1.      Yes

2.      No

3.      Not sure



Question #3:

If the TPR PDP working group proposes to alter the transfer lock period after a change of registrant data, what is your recommendation to the WG?

1.      A transfer lock period MORE than 60 days

2.      A transfer lock period LESS than 60 days

3.      No transfer lock period

4.      Not sure



Question #4:

Updates to Registrant data: Which information, if any, should result in a transfer lock?

1.      Registrant Email Address

2.      Registrant Name

3.      Registrant Organization

4.      Other
