To avoid further issues, I’ve changed the ‘thank you’ page at the end of the survey to the GNSO home page so for now this should hopefully solve the issue. I suspect that for some reason the ‘thank you’ landing page has cookies enabled (for no good reason) but I will check with IT if that is indeed causing the issue, and if so, how it can be fixed.

That's a relief.  I'm glad the system didn't simply discard my input.

That said, it's still disturbing to see that message.  There was no advance warning that cookies needed to be enabled, and no signal that my browser was or was not properly enabled.  I suspect there really isn't a need to enable cookies for this application.  Many users deliberately refuse to accept cookies because it violates their privacy.  I suggest filing a problem report with IT and making sure the problem is resolved.

I just filled in the survey.  When I hit the Submit button, I got back a message that I need to enable cookies.  Did the system really discard what I wrote?

  *   If not, please use what I wrote.  I would also appreciate a copy of it.
  *   If so, please shut down the survey system.  This is not acceptable system behavior.
