Thanks, Olga. The Committee will be responsible for setting its own pace of work, including number of meetings per week/month.

Its first assignment is to complete the assignment form for the Task Force that is to be created to review the Statement of Interest procedures. After that assignment is completed, the Committee is expected to oversee the work of the Task Force, as well as carry out its own assignment in relation to WG Self-Assessments. For both assignments, the staff support team has already prepared a first draft of the assignment form focusing on relevant background information that will hopefully facilitate the Committee’s task.

Based on these assignments, the Committee could, for example, decide to start meeting on a weekly basis to complete the first assignment, but once that has happened, move to meetings every two weeks to work on its own assignment? But as said, it is up to the Committee to determine.

I hope this is helpful.

Best regards,

Marika

Dear Marika,

Thanks for your email.

I am interested but would like to evaluate the time committment of this role before.

How many meetings per week/month?

Thanks in advance.

Best
Olga

Dear All,

Thank you very much for volunteering to the Council Committee for Overseeing and Implementing Continuous Improvement (COICI). In order to get the ball rolling, the staff support team has created a wiki page (see https://community.icann.org/x/JYMZCg) with all the relevant information.

As you may have seen, the Committee is still missing a Chair (https://mm.icann.org/pipermail/council/2021-July/024892.html) but to date no one has stepped forward. As noted in the framework document: “The committee would be chaired by a member of the Council who would serve in ex-officio capacity.” In his message, Philippe had also suggested that incoming Council members could be considered for this role. Is there anyone amongst you that might be interested in taking on this responsibility, even if this would mean that your group may need to appoint another representative, or is there another Council member of your SG/C that you might be able to convince to take on this role?

We look forward to receiving your feedback.

Best regards,

Marika
