Hi Caitlin,
During yesterday’s call I made a suggestion for a legal briefing and you asked me to write my proposal to the list, which I gladly do with this note:

I think that the entire EPDP Team and our report would benefit from a general briefing on data retention and deletion. This shall inform our work and our report on what retention periods can be applied for what data elements based on what grounds and also how to implement the deletion of data elements after the retention period has expired. 

While we discussed this in connection with a work sheet, I think a general briefing would be good as we will have to think about retention / deletion questions with respect to access/disclosure and related queries, which may also contain personal data.
