That they constitute personal information does not mean we cannot collect or process them. I presume ICANN has completed some kind of impact assessment and, on balance, determined it is appropriate to publish them in this particular instance. Hopefully that is not an incorrect assumption on my part. We do not participate in ICANN working groups in secret. Or at least, we shouldn't. I do agree that there is an inconsistency in how the mailing lists are configured; some have public archives, others do not, but I would like to see more consistency here, including a move towards all archives being public, and accurate subscriber lists (of names at least, I don't need to see the email addresses really) being available.

We work in the open and our mailing list discussions should, of course, be accessible to everyone. But we should also be clear about whose inboxes are correspondence will be reaching. I'd like to request that we please update the EPDP mailing list page to include the names of all observers.
