Hello all,

Our next call is 9 January 2023 at 12:30 UTC where we will finish the use case discussion and will then begin discussions around applicability of concepts within the ICANN GPI Framework. Below you will find asynchronous work that will support these discussions. Use Case Table
This table seeks to encapsulate the use case discussions from previous asynchronous work, as well as inputs from our 19 December call. Please review the instructions at the top of the table and remember this is a high-level exercise with the goal of finding examples that can be carried forward into future discussions.

Does the ICANN GPI Framework Apply to Closed Generics?
This exercise seeks to review concepts found in the GPI Framework for their applicability to the work of this group. You will be asked to identify if public interest categories, as well as specific Bylaws considerations, are relevant to closed gTLD’s. You will then have the opportunity to explain your thoughts in comments.

Please note, there may be ways to think about the public interest that are not found in the GPI Framework. Feel free to share these thoughts in comments as well.

16 January Meeting
During our last call, we discussed that 16 January is an American holiday. Thus far, no one has indicated a desire to change the meeting. Those of us impacted on the org side are willing to make an exception due to the expedited nature of this group. If anyone requests to change this meeting date, please let us know.
