The original PDP WG had reached consensus that this question should be explored further, first through an Issue Report and then, if voted for by the GNSO Council, through a separate PDP. Our WG is a direct result therefore of the GNSO Council’s accepting that
original recommendation, calling for an Issue Report (published in March 2014) and then voting (in June 2014) to initiate this PDP and create this current WG.</div><div><br></div><div>Returning to Phil’s question, basically the GNSO Council’s discussion this Thursday will not involve the policy question that has been posed to this WG. The Council’s discussion will focus on other issues stemming from the original PDP recommendations
instead.
