hi all,

i took an action to collect and organize our thoughts about a few useful questions to ask Barbara to go research. as i pulled the results from the chat i realized that we are actually asking questions of DR providers and Registrars as well. so here's a preliminary list. you have 4 hours to respond if you want your suggestions included in my next draft. sorry about the harsh timing, but i'm going to be off the net for a while after that and i want to get the final version out yet today.

Questions for Barbara (and any other Registry type people) to analyze

What was the reason that the TDRP was requested?

How many of the TDRP cases (first or second level) are due to an improper transfer and how many were because a transfer request was "nacked"?
Are there other reasons why TDRPs are requested? If so, what are they?
Is there a way to get a count of the number of TDRPs requested directly by Registrants (and presumably denied)?

If the decision was in the win/loss column

What's the proportion of wins vs losses?
How many of these Registry decisions were eventually appealed to the 2nd level DRP?
Is there any information as to the final disposition of these disputes -- eg UDRP, TDRP, court case?

If the decision was "no decision"

What is the breakdown of reasons why that conclusion was reached?
How many of these Registry decisions were eventually appealed to the 2nd level DRP?
Is there any information as to the final disposition of these disputes -- eg UDRP, TDRP, court case?

Questions for 2nd-level DR providers

Of those cases that they have received, have they received documentation from both parties to the dispute?

How many requests come directly from registrants (and are presumably denied)?

Questions for Registrars

for the Registrar mediated xfrs (this would not be for Barbara!)...are they more likely to be an improper transfer or an improper denial of transfer?
