Hi Cheryl , Donna , Khaled, All,
I am in total agreement here as a possible way forward of structuring the Leadership Team , around two Co Chairs ( Jeff , Avri) and 5 Vice Chairs (Sub Team Leaders ) . ( Brett , Steven , Phil ( myself) + two others )
I absolutely agree these ST Leads will need be qualified in the ST topics
Conveniently the Issues Report is subdivided into 5 key topics
1 PROCESS
2 LEGAL
3 STRINGS
4 IDNs
5 TECHNICAL, FINANCIAL , OPERATIONS.
I would be happy to put my name forward to lead as VC 5 . I think I am “qualified” to lead on the technical , financial , operational topics.
Thanks
Phil

I would prefer to have Co-Chairs (with all the experience and independent neutrality in actions, that such roles require) and a set of 5 SubTeam Leaders who can then forn part of a Leadership Team... Especially as I assume that the ST leads will be specifically active, and "qualified" in terms of knowledge and experience with relation to the ST Topics...

Hi all,
Following up with the discussion we had, I would like to refer our future discussion to the GNSO Working Group Guidelines <https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__gnso.icann.org_en_council_annex-2D1-2Dgnso-2Dwg-2Dguidelines-2D08apr11-2Den.pdf&d=CwMFaQ&c=MOptNlVtIETeDALC_lULrw&r=4A3LwUUER9_CePZ11QJsr56eryGQiPHEqv4TL7JH87w&m=_oVS7Gmyqog9PwFfDIeMxHSfcKt45HuPRSHH6pHNg1Q&s=WliOrfj6xABUhk27-B4NrTCp69jfw04VWCpCoy3Rgqc&e=> .
To be consistent with those guidelines, I tend to prefer that we adopt the following leadership positions :
- A Chair (1) : duties defined in point 2.2.1 of the WG Guidelines
- A Vice-Chair (s) : duties defined in point 2.2.2 of the same guidelines.
The question will be how many Vice-Chair we will elect ?
In the presentation that Steve made tonight, I understood that 38 issues were identified and grouped in 5 groups. I think it will be good to have 5 Vice-Chairs who in the same time can be each one of them the Chair of one Sub-Groups that will be covering one of those 5 group of issues.
For the record, I would like to support Steven Coates nomination for a Vice-Chair role.
