No, we don't agree. Because I have a right to information that will help me verify who is trying to communicate with me. If you have a problem with your information being public and used for any purpose whatsoever, the use whois privacy / proxy registration (which should be free). Use a role-based email.

This. Is. A. Solved. Problem. 

Your choice should be this. Enable (free) privacy protection on your domain or your info can be used by anyone for any reason. Literally exactly like twitter and facebook which has a whole lot more privacy sensitive info. The only thing that needs to be done is registrars telling users what this means. And we're happy to write that for you.
