[gnso-rpm-wg] Interbrand's 2018 list of the most valuable brands

Thanks for circulating George, but that is not a task for this WG. I think we have plenty to do without doing research for research's sake because it might be "educational". A whole host of factors play into whether, and the extent to which, a brand is likely to be a target for cybersquatting and into whether, and the extent to which, that brand might decide to utilise the URS, UDRP, Court, defensive registrations, or whatever other avenues it considers most relevant and appropriate.

Subject: [gnso-rpm-wg] Interbrand's 2018 list of the most valuable brands

Hi folks,

Interbrand just released its 2018 ranking of the world's most valuable brands, see:

https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2018/oct/04/apple-google-and-amazon-named-as-most-valuable-brands-in-world

https://www.interbrand.com/best-brands/best-global-brands/2018/ranking/#?listFormat=ls

It might be educational to compare that list with the list of most frequent complainants in the URS (and down the road, the UDRP). [It could also be useful for the TMCH work.]

Sincerely,

George Kirikos
