[Gnso-sc-budget] SCBO Meeting #02 - RESCHEDULED

Hi All,

In preparation for the 5 Jan 2022 call, please review all FY23 materials and begin to formulate your opinions and possible questions for discussion.

First, as John noted on our last call, our initial process will be to compare the Council’s comments from FY22 and analyze if changes were made as a result of the comments in preparation for FY23, or if the FY22 topic/issue should be reinforced for FY23. In the Google doc link below, each section of the comment contains a table below it for members to place initial thoughts or possible responses for the SCBO to consider.

Second, there is a due date of 7 Jan 2022 to send any clarifying questions of the draft FY23 materials to ICANN Org. At the bottom of the Google doc, you will see a table for members to populate questions or requests for clarification.

Third, also at the bottom of the Google doc, you will see another table to begin populating any NEW topics/issues for the SCBO to consider while formulating comments for the GNSO Council. For now, these can be a free-for-all that may be applicable to all of the GNSO and its SGs/Cs. It is easier to pair the list down relative to the GNSO Council’s scope and perhaps it can provide insights into what other SGs/Cs may be formulating as their comments.

As a quick notice from the Chair, the SCBO’s meeting #02 will be rescheduled for 05 Jan 2022. We will not lose a meeting per our schedule, but this extra time will allow the team to absorb the FY23 draft documents.
