Dear All,

As discussed, please find attached for your review a draft motion concerning the GNSO nominations for the RDS Review team in line with the SSC recommendations. Note that the motion follows a similar approach as was used for the selection of SSR2-RT candidates (see https://gnso.icann.org/en/council/resolutions#201701). Below you find a draft note that could be used to communicate the SSC recommendations to the GNSO Council.

Please share any comments or edits you may have with the mailing list as soon as possible, but no later than Sunday 9 April at 23.00 UTC.

As Julf is the only Council member in this group, apart from Susan who has recused herself, I would like to ask him whether he would be willing to submit the motion as well as recommendations, following your review and input, to the GNSO Council in time for document and motion deadline of Monday 10 April at 23.59 UTC.

In order to determine whether Monday’s call is needed – whether to further discuss the SSC agreements and/or the motion, please let staff know by Friday 7 April at 22.00 UTC if you think the call should go ahead.

Best regards,

Marika

=============

Dear All,

On behalf of the GNSO Standing Selection Committee, I am pleased to communicate the full consensus recommendations to the GNSO Council in relation to the nominations for the GNSO Review Team:

1. Agreement #1: Recommend the following three candidates (in no particular order) for GNSO endorsement for the RDS Review Team with a guaranteed seat: 1) Susan Kawaguchi, 2) Erika Mann and 3) Stephanie Perrin

2. Agreement #2: Recommend the following four candidates, in the following order, for GNSO endorsement for the RDS Review Team for any additional slots that may be available for consideration by the SO/AC Chairs: 4) Volker Greimann, 5) Marc Anderson, 6) Stefania Milan, 7) Timothy Chen

Despite the relatively short time frame available, the SSC followed the instructions provided in the SSC Charter and conducted a thorough analysis of the candidates that requested GNSO endorsement, with the help of a survey which resulted in the above recommendations. For further details on the information reviewed as well as the survey results, please see https://community.icann.org/x/6b-RAw.

Attached you will find an accompanying motion for your consideration.
