Thanks, Sam and Brian, for flagging the typo. We will make sure to get this corrected on the final versions.

Sam, thank you for the question on the text “this requirement may be bypassed” (page 8 of the charter). The language in this section is excerpted for the GNSO Working Group Guidelines. It is our understanding that “this requirement” refers to the sequence of warnings described in the prior sentence. A restriction on participation may occur without being preceded by the private and public warnings in extreme circumstances.

Attached is my copy of the Charter with two points flagged"

  *   One is already noted by Brian ( one small typo, removed the “s” in - If an SSC member(s) is a candidate-).

  *   The second is a query on page 8 with regard to: "this requirement" Are we clear as to what "this requirement" means here?
The Chair is empowered to restrict the participation of someone who seriously disrupts the SSC. Any such restriction will be reviewed by the Chartering Organization. Generally, the participant should first be warned privately, and then warned publicly before such a restriction is put into place. In extreme circumstances, this requirement may be bypassed[SL1] .
