I'd heard the same. Hopefully it'll be collocated with another event which would help keep costs down.

    I'm told that in 2018 the ICANN DNS Symposium (IDS) is neither happening with GDD Summit nor with DNS-OARC/ICANN61. The dates and venue for next year event will be announced soon.
