Hi, your comments are convincing, so I will ask Filiz to send another
reminder to the SOAC list on 18th Dec. announcing the new deadline of 14th
January 2013. FYI on the GAC list the date of 31 Dec has been announced,
before I could confirm the extension.

Best Sandra

hi,

I agree. Extension should only be called on the day after the thing would
have closed.

Sad to say, a lot of people, me included, only get to this sort of stuff at
the last minute. If someone gives me a reprieve early, I just wait until
the next last minute. But if i miss the deadline with a half written
response, I might actually finish it by the next deadline.

i also agree, if we need to extend, extend until at least a week after the
holidays end. Of course in Sweden where I am at the moment that is mid
January. Most people shut down regarding work stuff on the 21st.

Unfortunately, December 20 cannot fit in ccNSO's work schedule. I believe
ccNSO is going to request for an extension formally soon. Although I'm
grateful that the deadline is extended to December 31, it is still very much
tight for ccTLD community, which is very diverse and difficult to consult in
a short period of time. We are now seeking opinions region by region and
hopefully get more leniency on submission deadline.

Meanwhile this WG is operating cross constituency wide and is meeting
regularly. One outcome from the Toronto meeting was, to set up a survey to
get sophisticated information about the specific needs of each constituency
in terms of capacity building for leaders, for members and for the broader
community they are representing.
