Dear all,

I’m a little bit surprised that a strong focus is put on regional and stakeholder diversity for the WT while it is about intercultural understanding. The cultural diversity here is much more important. You may find in a single region or a single stakeholder group several cultures (AP region has Chinese, Australian, Qatari, …. who have absolute different culture).

Who does the consultant report to, and who retains them? Is it ICANN overall? If so, I don't see how there can be such a disregard of the feedback that there needs to be more diversity in the group of advisors.

>> Dear Marilyn and all, we where listening to your concerns about the limitation of 5 for the WT, but after re-considering pro and cons and taking into account the replies on this mailing list and the call, we will go ahead with the 5 assigned Work Team Members (WTM). It is a pilot and we will learn from it.
>>
>> We will not only learn from the results the assigned 5 WTM will deliver, but this course - more than any other - will get its benefit from the actual participants. And here we have such great diversity in all respects: https://community.icann.org/display/LTP/2017+Registered+Participants <https://community.icann.org/display/LTP/2017+Registered+Participants>
