Further to our discussion on today’s call, I am recirculating the draft letter to David Olive and SO/AC leaders, which now includes David’s reference to IOT members’ familiarity with Bylaws 4.3.  If there are any further comments on the letter please could I have them by 23.59 UTC Wednesday 22 July.  This will enable the letter to be sent on Thursday, before the anticipated discussion by the SO and AC leaders.

On our last call we discussed the role assigned by the Bylaws to the SOs and ACs to identify the proposed slate of IRP Standing Panellists for appointment by the Board and the recent suggestion raised with SO and AC leaders that perhaps this might be a task for the IRP-IOT.  We agreed that I should write to David Olive and the SO/AC leaders with our views and any suggestions on how to carry out this important work.  Please find a draft attached.

For the purposes of our upcoming call, please see the following agenda:

  1.  SOIs – further reminder to submit an IOT SOI; any changes to SOIs
  2.  IRP Standing Panel Selection
  3.  Translations finalising principles to be covered in draft text
