Dear IRT,

At the last IRT meeting, we agreed that we will define the “Critical Infrastructure” and add to the definition in section 3.9.1

Here are suggestions received leveraging definitions already published by other organizations.

critical infrastructure’ means an asset, system or part thereof … essential for the maintenance of vital societal functions, health, safety, security, economic or social well-being of people, and the disruption or destruction of which would have a significant impact … as a result of the failure to maintain those functions;

Critical infrastructure describes the physical and cyber systems and assets that are so vital … that their incapacity or destruction would have a debilitating impact on our physical or economic security or public health or safety.
