Dear IRT,
Soon, we will resume the Rec 7 discussion and review of the language in OneDoc related to it. The various interpretations we could have for Rec 7 was extremely challenging for us. We’ve been considering several ways to implement this recommendation in light of the latest GNSO Council’s guidance. We believe we have finally identified a good approach that makes the requirement clear for implementation and avoids potential confusion on compliance and enforcement.
To start off, we’ve removed our last proposed baseline language from the OneDoc to make it easier to work with. We’ll soon be suggesting changes for your review. We’ll use the same process we’ve taken for our RedDocs; that is we’ll assign the review task first, provide an explanation at an IRT meeting, then have your comments due afterwards to allow you sufficient time to consult your experts at home.
This has been a dependency for our implementation and it’s good that we see a way to resolve it. Looking at it now, I think we may need to do this in multiple steps. Regardless, I added it to our next IRT meeting agenda for now.
Looking forward to the Rec 7 discussion with you all.
