Dear Alex and IRT,

Thank for the question as I think it could help others too in understanding the role of the Educational Material.
ICANN org creates Educational Material to support policy implementation with the support of community experts.
This can be initiated at the request by the community or staff initiated when we see the need.

For this deck, I asked Gustavo to create it when I observed discussions confusing the terms and using the same terms to mean different things.
I collaborated with Gustavo to make to complete the deck and then brought it to the IPT and IRT to make it less technical and consumable.
Example: we removed the use of  terms such as “filter,” “parsing,” and “Webclient” and locked in the use of “Looup Website.”

For those who missed the last IRT meeting, I’d be happy to conduct a special educational session at your request.
Please let me know if you wish for such a session and I’ll announce it to the IRT if one gets scheduled.
Do reply to me only so we can avoid an IRT emails with over 100 subscribers.
