Dear Constituency Chairs,

I have been asked by the Board to share the following request with you.

To enable a more in-depth understanding of issues facing each  
constituency, the Board would like to experiment with the format for
constituency day (Tuesday) at the Los Angeles meeting.   Two or more  
board members will visit each constituency spending as much time  
during the morning (or as little) as the constituency requests.  It  
would be
helpful if the interaction was structured. To that end, Board Members  
will need specific agendas/questions/materials in advance if at all
possible.  Could you please indicate to Diane Schroeder by Oct 10 how  
much time you would like to have the Board Members present (and at  
what time during the
morning - "10 to 11am," for example) and the main issues for  
discussion.  Members  will report back to the full Board during the  
early afternoon of Tuesday
on their interactions. We are trying this experiment to see whether  
we can  increase the meaningfulness of these Board-constituency  
interactions.
