REMINDER!
ELECTION - ICANN gNSO Council Representative
In accordance with both the ICANN bylaws and the new ISPCP bylaws that
have been adopted as a result of recent gNSO reform, this is
the official notice of elections for ISPCP representative to ICANN's
gNSO Council.
With the adoption of the most recent ICANN By-laws, the ISPCP is
required to elect two members to the ICANN gNSO Council. These two
individuals will serve new terms on the newly constituted gNSO Council.
The nomination period closed on Monday, 29 September 2009 and the
ISPCP is fortunate to have three people who were nominated and are
willing to serve in this role.
Wolf-Ulrich Knoben - Germany
Jaime Wagner - Brazil
Mark McFadden - United States
Every ISPCP member organization in good standing is eligible to submit
two votes for two separate individuals.
The ISPCP Articles call for an election period of one week.
Because the current Secretariat of the Constituency is nominated,
votes from eligible ISPCP member organization MUST NOT be sent to the
Secretariat. Instead, each eligible member MUST SENT THEIR VOTES to
tonyarholmes at btinternet.com
The election period
. opens on Friday, 2 October 2009 at 0600 GMT
. closes on Friday, 9 October 2009 at 2200 GMT.
Votes for two of the three candidates should be sent to the ISPCP
Election Manager at:
tonyarholmes at btinternet.com
The Election Manager will be sending out a reminder of the nomination
Period to all members on Thursday, 7 October 2009.
