Tony,
The SSAC Chair Patrik Faltstom just reported that the SSAC would be
producing a report on Internet blocking. GAC Chair Heather Dryden
referred to a (separate?) experts report to the GAC on risks to Internet
stability and reachability from Internet blocking.
It sounded like work on the the first report has not yet begun, but the
second may be written and approved or pending approval.
Internet blocking is a key issue for EuroISPA, and I imagine for the
entire constituency. The security and stability aspects are particularly
crucial.
Acting as our Chair, please could you seek to obtain and circulate these
reports to the constituency list when available?
I would like to pose an open question to the constituency: what input,
if any, should the constituency seek to have to the SSAC experts' report?
Kind Regards,
Malcolm.
