Subject: [SSAC] FOR REVIEW: Revised Study 2 Proposal for the Name Collision Analysis Project (NCAP)

Dear SSAC,

Please find for your review a revised study 2 proposal for the name collision analysis project.

As you recall, the SSAC was asked by the ICANN Board in resolutions 2017.11.02.29 – 2017.11.02.31 to address a set of eleven questions related to name collision. To fulfill the Board’s request, the SSAC chartered the name collision analysis project and developed three studies to answer the Board’s question. Study one was authorized by ICANN Board in 2019 and completed in July 2020.

Based on the findings and recommendations of Study One, the NCAP discussion group, which includes SSAC members as well as community participants, updated the Study Two proposal.

Please review and provide any feedback you have by 11 January 2021. Your feedback will be taken by the discussion group to finalize the proposal before sending it to the Board’s technical committee for their consideration. The document is at:
