FYI - a follow-up from DONUTS. I have informed Jon Nevett that his email
would be forwarded to our new gTLD Review Group.

Kind regards,

Greetings Olivier:

You recently received a letter from McCarter & English, a U.S. law firm
making numerous accusations about Donuts and one of its commercial partners.

We understand that organizations with ambitious plans (ICANN, as well,
in that context) are predictable targets for attack and that some parts
of public debate should be expected to be difficult. This letter,
however, is particularly unfortunate. Many of the conclusions and
allegations are simply false, stretch credibility, or just ignore
applicable ICANN requirements. We suspect the letter is an effort by a
competitor to gain advantage over Donuts (the letter is unsigned by the
firm's client).

We've talked with you and many others in the community about our plans
for clean operations, protections against infringement and abuse, and
ability as a responsible operator to meet and exceed ICANN standards.
Our plans are clearly put forth in our applications, and we believe
they are well understood. As ICANN will evaluate our applications based
on facts and merits, and on the standards defined in the guidebook, we
are confident of the results. However, if you have *any* questions,
please let me know so we can provide the facts.

I look forward to hearing from you on this or any other issue.
