Caleb,

It is difficult to know what the future holds for the ICANN crews. What
appears to be to me a focus on “Technical Internet Governance” (TIG, with a
transfer of important Internet governance to other bodies, seems to be a
possibility lurking in the background. My assessment is that if ICANN goes
TIG, most non-contracted stakeholder groups will lose their reasons for
existing within ICANN. Maybe I am wrong, but I suspect that whatever
happens, the alarm on an ICANN ticking clock is set for not too far in the
future. Anyhow, we shall see.

In the mean time I am working with others trying to build an Internet
Integrity Task Force, focused on various elements of Internet governance,
and Digital Civics 2.0 (an advance from earlier limited notions).

Ciao, Sam

Hi Sam,

We are so sorry to see you go.

We wished your organization would continue to be our member but we also
wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

The ICANN Staff in copy will delist you from the mailing list.

Should your organisation wish to come back, please let us know as we have
an open door policy to welcome and retain our members.

Remmy & Caleb,

I am saying nothing since I think I am now no longer a member of NPOC. My
sponsoring organization merged with another and was no longer interested in
being a member. Their original interest was the early issues around health
gTLDs.

Ciao, Sam

Dear Members,

This charter has come a long way with lots of volunteer work put into it.

We encourage our members to kindly make comments towards the final review
of this body of work.

We totally understand volunteer work is difficult during this relative
post-covid era. However, we need you as you all hold an important role in
the entire multistakeholder process.

Hence, the call for comments. Please bear in mind that we have less than 10
days to make our comments from the time of this posting.

Periodically, I shall be sending reminders to us to kindly make our inputs.

Warm regards

*Caleb Ogundele*

If you have any concerns, please comment in the document in the next two
weeks and we can discuss them well ahead of the next NPOC EC meeting, which
is taking place on the ninth of May. The deadline for comments is on the
2nd of May.

After we've reviewed the charter we'll hopefully be able to return this
work for its final destination in the Board Organizational Effectiveness
Committee. Let's get this done!
