[NPOC-EC] Welcoming ExCom

Dear Executive Committee,

I am writing this message to officially kick off our terms. First of all, I would like to congratulate all of you for achieving these positions. We have an exciting year ahead! It's a bit different for me because traditionally, terms started just after elections, in June. However, in ICANN, it's customary to do this after the AGM. In any case, we have this transition year to make significant progress in many areas.

The first point I'd like to address is the importance of working together as a team and representing the interests of Not-for-Profit Organizations worldwide. ICANN is just one space where we were elected to do this. Representing them means more than just being their representatives; it means speaking out on their behalf in any process that may affect our members.

That's why I want to encourage you to get involved in ICANN's Policy Development Processes if you aren't already, as this is where we can raise our voices for our members. I believe there are some issues we need to work on to make our Constituency's voice stronger in the ICANN Ecosystem. This is becoming crucial with the Holistic Review on the horizon. I hope others outside our group see us as a united team advocating for NFPs, and I'm confident that I can count on your support, just as you can count on mine.

I'd also like to express my gratitude to everyone for being active on the Skype group and our mailing list. I haven't written anything yet because I was waiting until our monthly meeting to officially welcome all of you. However, I understand that time is of the essence, and we need to move forward to achieve our goals.

Regarding our goals for this year, my thoughts are centered around improving the engagement of our members on the mailing list, not just for sharing information but to boost their participation in our discussions and consult them on certain topics to show that we value their input. I would also like to map how many members we are reaching with our representation. Additionally, we need more Executive Committee members involved in Policy Development Processes and improved communication channels to reach our target audience, to name a few. I won't elaborate much on these goals now as I think we can make progress during our meeting.

I truly believe that the ExCom team we have is the best to work for our constituency. I want each of you to know that I'm available to answer your questions, comments, or doubts, so please don't hesitate to share them with me.

So, now is our opportunity, our time! Let's make the most of it!
