[RDS-WHOIS2-LawEnforcement] Action Item Plenary Call #29 regarding Law Enforcement Survey

Dear Cathrin,

Further to our action item received on the last plenary call, we have sought clarification from ICANN Legal department and wish to provide you with the following update.

While the survey doesn’t include any Personal Data, the issue is with documenting/confirming that we have permission to send the survey to the participants. As a result, we ask that subgroup members take the following steps:


  1.  Send the text below via email to their law enforcement contacts:

Due to recent changes in privacy regulations, we ask that you please confirm your agreement to participate in the survey in accordance with the ICANN Privacy Policy [icann.org]<https://www.icann.org/privacy/policy> and website Terms of Service [icann.org]<https://www.icann.org/privacy/tos> by responding to this email, cc'ing jean-baptiste.deroulez at icann.org<mailto:jean-baptiste.deroulez at icann.org>.


  1.  Once the individual has provided a written answer acknowledging agreement, the survey link can be circulated.


As this is an ICANN survey, we need to be able to document we have authorization to send out the survey.
