Bruce,

Has there been any more done with the WIPO recommendations below since
the GNSO recommended that it be considered separate from the review of
the existing UDRP?

Subject: [registrars] Comments sought on WIPO recommendations regarding
names and acronyms of international intergovernmental organizations

Hello All,

From:

m
and
http://www.icann.org/minutes/prelim-report-12mar03.htm

The Board has given the GNSO until 12 May 2003 to provide comments on
the matters raised in the WIPO letter.

WIPO proposes that Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP)
be modified to allow international intergovernmental organizationss to
file complaints in respect of the abusive registration of their
protected names and acronyms.

This will be discussed at the next meeting of the GNSO on 17 April 2003.

The GNSO Council representatives (Bruce Tonkin, Thomas Keller, and Ken
Stubbs) would appreciate any comments before then.

Regards,
Bruce
