[registrars] Recaputulation of nominations.

Thanks to Elana and Tim for the nomination and the second.  My disclosure
statement is as follows:
 
I am employed as Director of Policy of Network Solutions Inc.  I have not
been in possession of any 
Registry Proprietary or Sensitive Information during the 12 months prior to
the announcement of this election.  
I hold no position or office, nor am I party to any contract, that would
create a conflict of interest with the 
positions to which I have been nominated.
 
I also agree that we have a strong list of candidates for the Task Forces
and that an elected rep should only serve on one Task Force.  The Task
Forces present issues of common interest to registrars and, in that regard,
I have made considerable contributions to the discussions that led to the
establishment of the Task Forces.  I believe that this PDP, if properly
engaged, holds the potential to create a more balanced set of obligations
for registrars and a more rational approach to the question of WHOIS access.
Most of all, I believe that registrars have been put in a compromised
position by obligations that do not square with certain legal and market
realities. I also strongly believe that it will be primarily the level of
effort put forth by registrars that will produce the optimal results for all
interested parties.   I would welcome the opportunity to serve the RC's
interests.

I would also like to nominate Tim Ruiz for Accuracy and Data Collection and
Display.  I would also like to nominate Brian Cute for the Accuracy and Data
Collection task forces.  Either of them would do a great job.

 

I believe that we have a very good set of candidates here, and although the
Council has asked for only 1 rep to each, would hope that the eventual
choice of the constituency to any of these task forces would work very
closely with the other nominees on this list.
