The registries have posted a set of questions to the registrars regarding EPP implementation. This is important to all of our business interests, so I encourage you to review these questions and respond to both Jeff and the registrars' list. I will compile the responses in a single document, and follow up with another conference call with the registries to discuss these issues.

Thanks

Subject: Questions for Registrars Re: EPP

Elana,

Can you please forward these questions on to the Registrars on behalf of the
registries?

Thanks.

With the exception of .com, .net, .aero and .museum, each of the new
registries are required to implement the EPP standard (v.
1.0) no later than 120-135 days after the standard is released. The standard
was released on March 26, 2004. This means,
that these registries are required to implement EPP by no later than late
July/Early August, 2004.

Based on this information, the registries would like to know the following:

1) Is it feasible to require all registrars to complete transition to EPP
1.0 for all of these registries by the dates above. If not, what would be a
date that the registrars could complete full migration?

2) Assuming the Registries were to implement parallel implementations of
their current protocol along side the new
EPP 1.0, would it be feasible to implement that parallel implementation
beginning on August 8, 2004 and allow a transition period in which
registrars could run on either protocol, test with the registries on the new
EPP 1.0, and then convert to EPP v. 1.0 during that transition period.

        a) If no, then by what date should this parallel implementation
commence?
      b) If yes, how long should a transition period last.

Note that this answer may be different depending on whether a registry is
going from one version of EPP to EPP 1.0 or whether it is going from RRP to
EPP. If there is a difference, please let us know what time frames those
would be.

3) Based on your answers above, would the registrars oppose an extension to
the July/August time frame to address your needs and concerns.
