Subject: New registry services proposal posted
Tim,
In the registry-registrar regional gathering, one of the suggestions
from the registrars was to send them a notice when a new registry
service is added to our Submitted Applications page
(http://www.icann.org/registries/rsep/submitted_app.html). We have added
a new one today from EmployMedia for the release of initially reserved
two-character domain names (see
http://www.icann.org/registries/rsep/jobs-proposal.pdf). ICANN is
required to make a preliminary determination by 27 March 2007, although
the preliminary determination could be made in less than 15 days.
EmployMedia intends to make two-character names available in .JOBS
through their registrars to verified employers on a first come, first
served basis.
If any registrar wants to comment on this service, have them email
registryservice at icann.org. Comments may be viewed at
http://forum.icann.org/lists/registryservice. As there are no technical
or security and stability issues with the proposal, I expect it to be
approved.
Patrick
