be specified in my background section, I have an extensive background in public
activities. I believe that I will be able to use this experience to the best of
interest of the RC, as its representative to the GNSO council.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

have been involved in ICANN since 2000. My main field of expertise was the IDN
field in which I have been active within ICANN, WSIS and ITU. I represent the
RC in the ICANN President's Advisory Committee for IDNs (the IDN PAC), and I
also represented the RC in the GNSO IDN Working Group.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

believe that in the time where ICANN is in the process of preparing for the
introduction of IDN TLDs it is extremely important that there would be <b><u><span
style='font-weight:bold'>a specialist in IDNs representing the registrars</span></u></b>
in the GNSO council. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

past couple of years, the different processes of IDNs in the GNSO were mainly <u>led
by representatives of gTLD registries</u>. Although I was representing the RC
in the IDN PAC and GNSO IDN WG, there is a different value to a GNSO council
member. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

addition to representing the RC on other relevant issues for registrars, as a
specialist in the IDN field, and as a speaker of a language different than
English, I believe that I would be able to represent the needs and interests of
registrars in the best way possible, in this important development process of
IDNs. IDNs will create special challenges for our community, and should be
addressed thoroughly at the earliest. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

also believe that there is a vast representation for English speaking
countries, and other Latin originated languages within the GNSO council in
general and specifically from the RC (the two other RC reps in the council hold
this criterion). I hope the RC members would give their support for <b><u><span
style='font-weight:bold'>a more diverse representation</span></u></b>.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

important to note that while there is a fair representation for Australia in
ICANN – from Paul Twomey as President and CEO of ICANN, Chris Disspain
(representative of .au) as ccNSO chair, and <st1:PersonName
ProductID="Bruce Tonkin" w:st="on">Bruce Tonkin</st1:PersonName> that was our
rep for the GNSO council for years, and now as a Board member, there is no
representation for Israel (nor there has ever been to my best knowledge) within
any of these councils including the GNSO council. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

was the minister's parliamentary advisor, media advisor, political and

of my work with the minister I was the secretary of a few special committees

negotiations regarding the forming of the parliament's committees and
presidium, a state budget committee that held the negotiations with the
parliament's parties regarding the Israel's state budget, and more.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
