Dear RT Whois,

News about a brazilian project of law that obligues online stores
clearly disclose their contacts for consumers - and it's not about
Whois itself.

http://www12.senado.gov.br/noticias/materias/2012/03/23/lojas-virtuais-podem-ser-obrigadas-a-divulgar-claramente-seus-contatos-para-os-consumidores

At issue in the House of Representatives' Committee on Science,
Technology, Innovation, Communication and Information Technology
(CCT), may be voted at the meeting next Wednesday (28) which requires
the e-commerce sites on the Internet to widely disseminate contact
information if the consumer needs to speak with a representative of
the establishment.

The project (PLC) 106/2011 adds six paragraphs to the Consumer
Protection Code (Article 33-A) that determine, among other things, the
obligation to inform state registration numbers and the National
Register of Legal Entities (CNPJ), the legal address and phone numbers
- the same data also contained in the invoices.

Moreover, the text states that the personal service and effective
consumer is done in a maximum of five minutes counted from the start
of the call, and be informed as protocol number of that service. The
PLC 106/2011 has a favorable opinion of the rapporteur, Senator Vital
do Rego (PMDB-PB), but must still pass through the Consumer Protection
Commission (JMC), which terminative vote.

Omar
