[RZERC] RZERC Chair Runoff Election Results and Next Steps

Dear RZERC,

Here are the results of the RZERC Chair Runoff Election from 26 March–02 April 2021:

Tim April: 3
Geoff Huston: 3
Abstain: 3

As there is a tie, each candidate will have an opportunity to address the Committee in the next meeting, scheduled for 20 April 2021 at 19:00 UTC. Staff will Chair this meeting. Then there will be a final runoff election between Tim and Geoff. If there is still a tie between the candidates a subsequent coin toss will determine the next Chair. We will discuss the specifics of a possible coin toss at the next meeting. This is consistent with Section 2.2.3 of the RZERC Operational Procedures (link: https://www.icann.org/uploads/ckeditor/15047163966105_September_RZERC_Operational_Procedure_1___3_.pdf).
