[Sift-general] Welcome to the General SIFT mailing list

Hello listers,

Welcome to you all who have joined the General SIFT mailing list since it was launched last week. As of today we have more than 40 subscribers and it is increasing every day. As mentioned in the announcement, this is your space to bring and discuss technical topics relevant to ICANN mission. The mailing list will be publicly archived and not moderated, however expect participants to adhere to ICANN Expected Standards of Behavior will engaging with each other on the mailing list too (https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/expected-standards-2008-01-10-en).

In the process of developing this idea internally, there has been a need expressed by our SSR Research team to have a thematic SIFT on DNS Abuse Measurement, topic for which they have seen a strong interest through out their engagement with the community. That thematic SIFT is now active. You can find more about it at https://community.icann.org/display/SIFT/DNS+Abuse+Measurement+Technology. The mailing list is also now open to subscription if you are interested by the topic. 

We will do our best to maintain the community wiki pages developed for this initiative up to date with key activities and their evolution.
