Ultimately, since Mr. Hasbini is a GAC appointment, it is our understanding that the decision on whether or not to replace him rests with the GAC. The SSR2 Review Team would, of course, welcome any new members appointed by the community.

The SSR2 currently is working on<https://community.icann.org/display/SSR/Work+Plan?preview=/64075835/102139475/SSR2_Workplan_20%20Dec%202018.xlsx> a draft report for public comment. The SSR2 Review Team leadership requests that SOs/ACs that are considering appointing new members at this juncture in the team’s work ensure that appointees have the knowledge and time to contribute to the SSR2 Review Team’s work in progress. I suspect that anyone joining the team today would have need to be very diligent to catch up with the rest of the team.
