Dear Trademark Clearinghouse IAG,
With respect to Issue N5, I am strongly in favor of having the Trademark Clearinghouse develop character mapping sets that would then be uniformly applied across all newly delegated TLDs. I believe that this would not only promote uniformity in the sets themselves but would allow for the sets to be applied in an even and unbiased manner. Moreover, by assigning this function to the Clearinghouse, this relieves the registries of yet another burdensome and potentially unwieldy task - especially if sets were developed at the individual registry level where formulation and application of sets would likely create additional logistical issues and concerns.
Thank you,
Brian
