See below for notes from our first meeting. Also, an update on a few items:
 
*The Doodle poll for our face-to-face meetings has closed. We will meet on January 14-15 as well as February 12-14. Expect to received further information on booking travel soon. 
*All of our meetings will be recorded and published on our webpage. 
*An announcement regarding the work of this study group will go out later today. Once that page is live, I’ll send a note to this group with the link (which will include a link to the group's webpage).

Technical Study Group on Access to Non-Public Registration Data
Meeting #1

Attendees:  Ram Mohan, Jorge Cano, Gavin Brown, Murray S. Kucherawy, Scott Hollenbeck, Andy Newton, Steve Crocker, Tomofumi Okubo, Benedict Addis, Diana Middleton, Eleeza Agopian, Francisco Arias, Yvette Guigneaux

During the call we touched on the following:

• Introduction to group (Ram introduced members)

• Background on why we started (as noted in the draft charter)

• Rationale in choosing this group (skills matrix)

• Discussion of scope 

• Brief review of charter (further discussion to follow in next meeting): What are the assumptions we are making? 
1. RDAP is the model used to access registration data; port 43 will be deprecated
2. A standard model will apply equally to all parties requesting access to non-public registration data
3. ICANN is the sole party that authorizes access to non-public registration data in the gTLD space
4. System will accommodate changes to data sets or data access
5. All credentials must be protected in a reasonable way

Wrap Up/Action Items:

• Doodle poll for suggested Face-to-Face meetings in January & February – DIANA – COMPLETED 
	o January = Current suggested dates of 15/16 JAN, move to 10/11 JAN, or move to 24/25 JAN
